Dat journey

On May 2nd, 2012 I set out to move from Ohio to California to accept a position in Santa Monica, a beachfront city in western Los Angeles Country. The decision to make this relocation did not come easily as I was well on my way to becoming a decently established human being in northwest Ohio city of Toledo. Hot of the heels of a marginally successful fundraising adventure with The Ottawa Tavern, doing what I do best at the always outstanding Concentrek Group, as well as feeding my constant hunger for social attention with great friends and collegues, I had quite the life set up for me in Toledo. My parents, brother and the infantile niece were all stationed in Columbus, a short two hour commute made them feel close in proximity which was a comforting feeling.
However, it is on occasion that we must throw comfort to the wind in our pursuit of a fulfilling life and destiny. I made the trip with my older brother, Dennis and my two cats Mordecai and Rigy. I set out a course that would take us through Austin, TX so I could visit with life-long friends Tommy and his girlfriend Katie. The drive from Columbus to Austin ended up taking about twenty hours and the same goes for the drive from Austin to Los Angeles. These photos document a modest portion of our sights and experiences.
